Dogs can Sunburn too!

Don't let your bathing beauty burn!

Yes, dogs can get sunburn too! Exposure to the harsh sun can which can potentially cause skin cancer. Dogs that are most affected are white coats, hairless, light colored coats and super short coats. However, all dogs with exposed skin including noses can burn!

Prevention:

*Walk in early morning or late night

*Keep dogs in shaded areas

*Use ‘dog’ sunscreen (I heard Epi-Pet is the only FDA approved dog sunscreen)

*Use sun protection for your pups nose & belly! (I just picked up "my dog nose it" for my clients let's see how it works)
